eBooks

An eBook supplier where one is "loaned" books. A little like a print book in a library. The above link will take you to the Patron page of EBL where you may search for titles and save links to books you have on loan. These 30,000 plus titles may also be found via our catalogue.

Note: to read online you need the Adobe reader. To download and read offline on your computer you need the special Adobe Digital Editons reader. Digital Editions requires you to register at Adobe. These are available via the EBL eBooks site.

New Zealand Electronic Text Centre

A free online archive of New Zealand and Pacific Islands texts and heritage materials, with fully searchable, set of images and full-text books, manuscripts and journals.
Subjects include: Autobiography, Biography, Journals, Correspondence, Contemporary Maori and Pacific Islands, Historical Maori and Pacific Islands, Language, Literary Criticism and History, Literature, New Zealand History, Science and Natural History.

Early New Zealand Books

The Early New Zealand Books Project has been developed by staff at The University of Auckland Library. It aims to provide the keyword-searchable text of significant books published about New Zealand in the nineteeth century.

EBSCO's AtoZ fulltext journal list

This service lists almost every journal available electronically, whether subscribed to or via one of our fulltext databases. This means you have access to articles from over 18,000 journals. Access to the journals may also be found by searching our Catalogue (do a Journal Title search).

EBSCOHost Electronic Journals Service (EJS)

EBSCOHost's Electronic Journal Service pulls about 90 of the electronic journals we subscribe to together into one list (the Quick Journal List). You can go to any title on this list and access the journal's articles.

You can also access thousands of other journal titles and their contents pages (but not the actual articles). If you create a "My EJS" account for yourself you can save searches, create a list of favourite titles, even have the list of contents of any of these journals emailed to you as each new issue is published (called Alerts).

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

This site provides access to over 4263, free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. You can also search for articles in over 1,587 of the journals on this site.
