What are Text Alerts?
  • The text alerts service gives you the option to receive text messages from the Library on your mobile.
  • To subscribe you can ask a librarian to add your mobile number to your library record, or you can add it yourself through My Library Record. Click on 'personal information' and enter your mobile number, starting with the country code (New Zealand is 64), and then the mobile number without the leading zero. For example, 021 0123 4567 would be 642101234567.
SMS alerts are sent when: -
  • Holds are available for pick up

  • Borrowed items are about to become due

  • Items are overdue

  • You have fines and fees
