We have an extensive range of books, articles and online resources to support your teaching and research. We can also arrange for you to borrow items from other libraries in New Zealand and overseas.

You need to produce your staff MIT ID card to borrow.
You can have up to 15 items on loan to you at any time.
Books: 4 weeks or 1 week
Serials: 1 week
DVDs: 1 week
High Demand items: 2 hours, 1 item only.
By using our library catalogue you can Request items that are on loan to another student or request an item from another campus library. If you have a book that has been requested by another person, you will be sent an email and a text message (via your record's preferred mobile number) to let you know that the item has been requested by another borrower.
Items that have been Requested are subject to overdue fines of $3 per day. Lost or damaged items are subject to charges for the cost of replacement. Administration fees will also be charged if an invoice is issued.

Our High Demand collections contain books and other library materials which are in high demand by your students, such as course textbooks and recommended readings. High demand resources can only be used in the library. The High Demand collections are generally held behind the Lending Desk at each branch. If you require an item to be placed in High Demand (required readings etc.) please talk to your Subject Librarian.
