Technology Services at MIT Libraries

Student Experience and Success (SEAS) provide 2 forms of Technology Support for students from with our campus libraries.

IT Help Desk

These are staffed help desks at Manukau and Otara Campus libraries. They are staffed by fellow students who can help with things like:

  • Setting up ready for printing and photocopying
  • Resetting your password.
  • Some basic Microsoft Office help.
  • Canvas
  • Cytrix

Generally the desks are staffed 9am to 4pm. Monday to Friday during teaching terms. Hours can vary from day to day due to student availability.

Peer Tutors

These are fellow students who help students during their classes. These sessions are arranged by your lecturer.

  • For help guides and further information see the Tech Services pages.
  • Technology Services is located at NB Block, Gate 12, North Campus, Ōtara Rd, Ōtara. and does not have a walk-in help service.

Canvas support

  • For help with Canvas please contact the Canvas hotline on 0800 569 020. 

Basic IT help is available from library staff at any of our Library service desks.

MIT-Wireless network

  • MIT staff and students can connect their personal devices to the MIT-Wireless network by using their MIT username and password.
  • Help guides for setting up wireless access can be found on the Technology Services website.
