We have an extensive range of books, articles and online resources to support your studies and research. We can also arrange for you to borrow items from other libraries in New Zealand and overseas.

You need to show us your current MIT ID card to borrow.
You may have up to 10 items on loan to you at any time.
Loan lengths:
Books: 3 weeks or 1 week
Serials: 1 week
DVDs: 1 week
High Demand items: 2 hours, 1 item only.
Note:
By using our library catalogue you can Request items that are on loan to another student or request an item from another campus library. If you have a book that has been requested by another person, you will be sent an email and a text message (via your record's preferred mobile number) to let you know that the item has been requested by another borrower.
Items that have been Requested are subject to overdue fines of $3 per day. Lost or damaged items are subject to charges for the cost of replacement. Administration fees will also be charged if an invoice is issued.
Payment is via either via Internet banking ( Westpac Bank account: 03-1509-0187933-00 ) or the Student Learner Portal

Our High Demand collections contain books and other library materials which are in high demand by students, such as course textbooks and recommended readings. High demand resources can only be used in the library. The High Demand collections are generally held behind the Lending Desk at each branch.
Borrow or request books and articles from other libraries in New Zealand using the interloan service. All currently enrolled Manukau Institute of Technology students can use the interloan service for study or research purposes. Visit our interlibrary loan page for more information.
Manukau Institute of Technology students are eligible to borrow books in person from the Unitec library. You first need to fill in an enrolment form found on this page and take it along to any of the Unitec Library branches. Their borrowing policy applies to all borrowed material.
